How PortdayGuide may earn money

Some outbound booking links on PortdayGuide are affiliate links. If you click an eligible link and later complete a qualifying booking, PortdayGuide may receive a commission. This does not add a separate PortdayGuide charge to your purchase. The price, taxes, fees, currency, and payment terms shown by the booking platform control.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links may appear in live excursion cards, “view more” links, destination links, and planner results. They are marked as sponsored in the page code and are placed near a visible disclosure. Editorial links to tourism boards, terminals, maps, source material, or photo-license pages are not presented as booking recommendations merely because they leave the site.

Booking relationship

PortdayGuide does not sell, operate, fulfill, change, or refund tours. It does not collect payment for Viator products or issue booking confirmations. When you follow a Viator link, the booking is completed on Viator or with the applicable provider under their current terms. Questions about availability, payment, cancellation, pickup, accessibility, refunds, or fulfillment should be directed to the booking platform or tour operator.

What live product data means

Product titles, images, prices, pricing units, ratings, review totals, duration, availability signals, and cancellation information may be supplied by Viator. Those fields can change without a full editorial update to the surrounding port guide. “From” pricing may apply only to certain dates, party sizes, options, or availability. The booking page is the final source for the current price and what the selected option includes.

How recommendations are selected

PortdayGuide first identifies the activity and route that fit the port, then looks for a relevant current product. Matching and ordering may consider destination relevance, attraction wording, rating evidence, review volume, price, duration, cancellation terms, and whether the result appears useful for a cruise-length visit. A commission opportunity does not make an excursion safe, suitable, available, or guaranteed.

What a recommendation does not promise

A “recommended excursion” label means the current listing is a close match for the activity named beside it. It does not certify port pickup, on-time return, accessibility, provider licensing, insurance, equipment, safety practices, or the experience on a future date. Similar destination names can refer to different terminals or meeting areas. Confirm the ship, terminal, meeting point, start time, end time, and return plan before paying.

Editorial independence

Terminal descriptions, transfer assumptions, return margins, and independent planning advice are not determined by an advertised commission. PortdayGuide may show no product when the live results do not credibly match the named activity. The site may also describe a do-it-yourself option even when a bookable tour exists. Commercial usefulness and editorial fit are separate decisions.

External platform data

Following an affiliate link sends you to an external platform. That platform may process referral information and other data under its own privacy and cookie policies. PortdayGuide does not control the external checkout, account system, tracking choices, or provider communication. Review those terms before completing a transaction.

No return guarantee

Suggested buffers are planning guidance only. Traffic, weather, tender operations, ship schedules, terminal changes, operator performance, medical needs, and other conditions can change. The cruise line’s official instructions control. Leave more time when the route is unfamiliar or conditions are uncertain.
