Punta Langosta, International Pier and Puerta Maya are different starting points. The terminal comparison helps identify yours. At the stand, name the destination and number of travelers, then ask for the total for everyone and every vehicle required.

The beach clubs below publish their own taxi guidance. These are venue estimates, not a current island-wide tariff; neither page gives a fare effective date. We checked the pages on September 21, 2026. Confirm the price at your departure stand.

Paradise Beach says return taxis wait at the club during the day; ask about the queue before your intended departure. Nachi Cocom says its beach reservation excludes transport. Mr. Sancho's official all-inclusive day pass also excludes transportation. Add both taxi rides to those day-pass budgets.

Older reference for other destinations

Puerta Maya's official taxi information provides a taxi contact, but no fare table. The older reference below comes from EverythingCozumel; its page shows a May 2025 update. We have not verified these amounts against a September 2026 terminal fare board. Use this table only as historical planning context.

Do not apply that four-person reference to a party of five, assume a van has the same fare, or automatically double the outward price. Ask for the return quote separately. A beach admission or resort day pass is a separate purchase unless expressly included.

How Cozumel taxi pricing works

The cruise terminals use destination-based pricing rather than a meter. The fare changes with the starting pier, destination, and passenger count. Local Cozumel references state that the cruise-pier schedule commonly includes up to four passengers, while larger parties pay more or use a van.

Read the board at the taxi stand because online tables can lag changes. Point to the destination, state the number of passengers, ask whether the amount is the total for the vehicle, and confirm the currency. Photographing the board is useful for the return conversation, but the return may begin in a different fare zone.

Which arrangement fits the day you actually want?

Compare the quote with the booking confirmation

For example, Cozumel Cruise Excursions' private island tour separates passenger bands and reserved hours, and lists an air-conditioned van and driver/guide while excluding admissions, food and drinks. That seller's inclusions do not automatically apply to the Viator products below.

• Group and unit: a total for your complete party, with the vehicle count and any child or accessibility arrangements confirmed.
• Time and route: pickup time, included hours, chosen stops and any overtime charges.
• Meeting and return: the named pier, exact meeting landmark, walking distance and agreed return location and time.
• Extra costs: admissions, beach facilities, equipment, food and any charges not already in the quote.

“Private” alone does not mean a chauffeur is included. A Jeep or buggy experience may require a traveler to drive. Read that requirement before treating it as an alternative to a taxi or hired driver.

Round-trip cost and return strategy

A one-way fare does not cover the full transport budget. Ask the destination how return taxis work, whether staff call them, and how long pickup can take. For remote locations or a multi-stop island loop, a negotiated driver or bookable excursion may be more predictable than several point-to-point rides.

Keep the final stop on the terminal side of the island. Punta Sur and the east coast deserve earlier departures because the return route is longer and there are fewer fallback vehicles than in San Miguel or the southern beach-club corridor.
